The H16 Mobile Computer is a true innovation in Mobile Data Collection. Marrying state of the art barcode scanning technology, with leading edge Windows™ Mobile 5.0 operating system, the H16 is a powerful tool for your mobile workforce. In addition to the strong foundation of technology, the H16 is also a stylish and functional device keeping smartphone design in mind.

The H16 features two barcode scanning options based from Opticon’s powerful laser scan engines and imagers. The H16A features the MDL laser barcode scanner – Opticon’s 100 scan per second crown jewel. The H16B features Opticon’s MDI CMOS imager, bringing 1.3 mega-pixel resolution for reading all two-dimensional barcodes.

In addition to the leading edge software and top quality scanning technology that are the hallmarks of the H16, Opticon has also brought three communication features to the table. The H16 includes a Bluetooth™ radio that enables connection to any of the popular Bluetooth™ headsets, printers or other peripheral devices. The H16 also includes an 802.11 b/g radio to enable WiFi communication on any WiFi network. Finally Opticon raises the bar by including quad-band GSM/GPRS/Edge, making the H16 not only a powerful data collector, but also an effective smartphone.

Rounding out the smartphone capabilities of the H16, Opticon has included a slide out full QWERTY keyboard for full-scale data interaction. A Mini SD card port allows you to enhance the standard 64 megabyte RAM and 128 megabyte Flash ROM. Finally, the liquid crystal 2.8 inch color display is not only crisp, but also allows for signature capture and is an effective touch screen.
